The Office of Naval Research Global (ONRG) is sponsoring a conference in Baku, Azerbaijan on 1, 2, and 3 February 2005 entitled, “International Collaboration Opportunities for Research and Technology Development in Azerbaijan.” The conference is being conducted in collaboration with the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan National Science Foundation (ANSF).
The purpose of the conference is to facilitate discussion on S&T collaboration between researchers and S&T managers in Azerbaijan and S&T managers from the US in the hopes of furthering collaborations between researchers in the two countries. Additional, separate sessions are planned for discussions among former weapons and defense researchers.
